Iguazú Grand Hotel Resort and Casino

Description:

  • Some of my pickiest friends have stayed here and could not fault it. The large, red-brick, mansion-style hotel sits on a low slope with lawns running down to an attractive pool area. The lobby is stunning and elegant, with white pillars and sparkling marble floors. What makes this five-star hotel stand out from the rest are its rooms, or should we say suites; they do not do rooms. Even the junior suites have 40 sq. m (431 sq. ft.) worth of impeccable decor, stylish period furniture, and ample light. The immaculate bathrooms have two washbasins and a separate section for toilet and bidet. A delicious fruit drink awaits you upon arrival, as do a fresh bathrobe and pair of slippers. All the bathtubs have a hydro-massage. The hotel grounds are delightful, and the three pools are immaculate and well maintained. The breakfast buffet is superb, with a large variety of international dishes. A car service is available to all guests, charging a very reasonable $5 (£3.40) flat rate to all the local attractions. It is located on the road to the falls.

Facilities: Restaurant; casino; 3 outdoor pools; putting green; tennis court; health club; spa; Jacuzzi; sauna; playland; game room; concierge; car service; business center; secretarial services; shopping arcade; room service; massage; babysitter; laundry service; conference room
