This resort-style hotel with manicured lawns and low modern buildings has a pared-down, functional feel. At the same time, it's pleasant and relaxing. The decor is simple and elegant, if a little worn around the edges. It has a glass-fronted reception area with comfy couches and well-lit, spacious rooms with tiled floors and small window tables. The fixtures and features, however, could use updating. The bathrooms are all ceramic and clean, with showers and tubs. The 5-hectare (12-acre) garden offers lots of greenery with fruit-laden trees, lush shrubbery, and tropical flowers. A cool, lagoon-shaped pool has deck chairs. Set amid the well-trimmed grounds are some very agreeable cottages with white walls and tiled roofs. Some are older than others and priced accordingly. Beds vary from queen-size to double bunk, and the interiors are well presented with attractive drapes and bed covers. The hotel is on the road to the falls. Buses pass frequently in either direction.
