Puerto Vallarta has long been a treasured destination for family vacations. Mexico is notoriously kid-friendly and the hotels really reflect that. Almost all of the resorts have some facilities that cater especially to children. Kids' Clubs are common, where your youngster can learn some simple Spanish, play games with other children and create fun crafts. Enjoy mingling with other families at designated family pools, kept shallow for the safety of young swimmers. Some even have water slides! Many of the top family hotels, like the Crown Paradise and Flamingo Vallarta, have babysitters upon request. Others have on-site care centers where you can check your tot in for some supervised fun while you hit the spa or shopping center.
In the evening, your child will delight in the hotel entertainment, like at the Mexican Fiesta night at Villa del Palmar. Pile on kid-friendly Mexican food like taquitos, nachos and quesadillas from the buffet and then sit down and watch brightly colored dancers perform in a musical show. There may even be clowns! Out on the beach, there's also plenty to do. Rent snorkel equipment and view the sea life or take a bumpy ride on a banana boat. Whatever you decide to do, it will be a vacation your child will remember.
