• A pleasant resort just minutes from the famous Malecon, the Buenaventura has a prime location in the Hotel Zone. It has an all-inclusive option and the food is better than some mega-resorts usually offer. The staff is friendly and you will be received with refreshments when you first arrive. They take the time to get to know your name and will always greet you with a smile.
  
  Most certainly you will want a room with a balcony and a view. The rooms without are dark and uninviting. The beach in front of the hotel isn't the best in Puerto Vallarta; it's small and includes a roped off portion to keep the beach vendors out. While you could find a place with a nicer beach farther north, the location of the Buenaventura makes it well worth the stay. It's only a few minutes of walking to the main part of Vallarta, including many restaurants, the Malecon and lots of shopping and galleries.
  
  This is a family resort so expect children at the pool. It's also a very pretty hotel, making it popular with wedding parties. They do have some entertainment but not as often or as late as other hotels, making this a better choice if you prefer less evening noise.
