    • Mexican cuisine is not, by nature, vegetarian friendly so herbivores can be hard pressed to find delicious and guaranteed lard-free dishes at local restaurants. Not so at Planeta Vegeariano! Located in Centro, this tiny "hole in the wall" restaurant offers all you can eat buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Walk in, pay for your plate and then help yourself to the two steam tables of delicious vegan and vegetarian fare. Each dish is clearly labeled and you can be sure the food is fresh.

      Even if you aren't strictly vegetarian, the meat and cheese heavy Mexican diet can wear on a traveler who is used to salads and vegetables. This is a great place to eat healthy and cleanse your palate. The decor is bright and colorful, appealing to the young and young at heart. It's also very affordable, making it a great choice for those on a budget.
