- Puerto Vallarta offers myriad things for travelers of all stripes to enjoy. If you've selected Puerto Vallarta as your destination, it's a good bet that you enjoy the beach. In addition to sunbathing and beach-combing, there's many beach-related activities to partake in. You can jump into a pick-up volleyball game, rent a jet ski or kayak, get certified for open water diving, snorkel with tropical fishes or, if the season is right, get up close and personal with the Humpback Whales.
