Description:

  • The Mexican Constitution was approved on the 5th of February, and every year the government sponsors a parade to remember the approval of it. An important event in the history of Mexico, the creation of the new Constitution in 1917 helped to end the struggle that held Mexico in turmoil for more than seven years after the revolution that ended the dictatorship of President Porfirio Diaz. The parade marches through the downtown area of the city, passing through the Malecon and ending with speeches just outside City Hall and the Open Air Ampitheater (where the dolphin monument is located).
