Anniversary of the Mexican Revolution

• Every year, the 20th of November is remembered as the anniversary of Mexico's fight against dictatorship and social inequalities. The Dia de la Revolución is an event that tries to remind people of such heroes as Pancho Villa and Emiliano Zapata, who fought for land and freedom. Puerto Vallarta hosts a series of events throughout the day, including a parade through downtown and fireworks at night. In general the atmosphere is that of celebration. Many hotels and restaurants join in by serving special menus on this night; some even have revolutionary parties.
