• Chico's is perhaps the most well-known of the local dive companies in Puerto Vallarta. Located right on the Malecon, you can stop in and book a day trip at your convenience. Chico's offers snorkel and snuba trips for those who prefer to explore the most shallow waters near surface. The knowledgeable guides will help you identify the myriad tropical fish drawn to the surface by the engine noise (they know food is close at hand!).
  
  If you prefer to delve a bit deeper, there are scuba trips for divers of all levels as well as certification programs if you want to get your Open Water certificate. The boat is a large catamaran and it's likely, if you're visiting during the winter months, that you'll be joined by a full boat of tourists on your trip. If you prefer a more intimate setting of just a few divers, you should select another company.
