• Charter boats for fishing are available nearly everywhere in Puerto Vallarta. You can rent them by the day or half-day, or even for overnights. The type of boat varies from company to company, but range everywhere from an open-air panga to a massive fishing boats that sleep several people.
  
  To catch the really big fish, you'll need at least a full day to sail out beyond the reaches of the bay into open waters. Make sure that your charter includes all taxes, permits and fees, food and beverages and uses live bait. The colder months are the best for fishing but you can get good game all year round.
