- It may seem strange that a tequila factory exists outside of Tequila, Jalisco, where it was born, but Puerto Vallarta has the privilege of having a premier factory within its midst. Visiting the plant allows guests to learn about the process of manufacturing tequila, its history and (of course) participate in the tasting. Porfidio Tequila is aged in individual barrels to ensure the high quality of the product. Reservations for the tour are recommended.
