Vista Vallarta is set out from the main Puerto Vallarta at the base of the foothills. There really is a lovely vista from the courses. Vista Vallarta hosted the 2002 World Golf Championships. The course site is a whopping 478 acres and the Vista Vallarta Club de Golf encompasses two 18-hole, Par-72 championship golf courses. The Jack Nicklaus designed course offers sloping hills, dense thickets and a creek while the Weiskopf course makes use of more extreme terrain, including jungle, a rapid creek and deep ravines. The courses have been rated some of the best in Mexico.Rates start at $196 with a discount for play after 2pm. They except Mexican pesos or US credit cards. No US dollars.
