Well,by Mismaloya beach there are a couple of them. but if you are looking for where the locals go,I would recommend you the 2 floor at the "Rio cuale" flea market. (Old town) just on the 2nd floor of this beautiful flea market (around 320 stores) you will find little restaurants with different kind of food. (sea food,Mexican traditional,Italian) and the prices are just amazing! in some of them you can have a complete lunch (soup of the day, main dish, desert and a big glass of flavored water) for 45 pesos! in most of them you will see the Mom,the Dad and the daughter or son working together. Enjoy!

My favorite cheap places to eat in Puerto Vallarta are Tacon de Marlin near the Pemex in Centro and the Tacos de Canasta Chabelitas in Plaza Caracol. The Red Cabbage Cafe is a great place but is getting even more popular with tourists (Romantic Zone). Polos Mariscos is another favorite, but I hear that's also getting very busy in the evenings. Mariscos Tinos in Pitillal is a local favorite that not many tourists get to.
