Formerly a tiny hole-in-the-wall at the water's edge, Chile Rojo has moved up the road, and a flight of stairs- to the second level of Puerto Viejo's new little mall. The head chef, Andrew Bacon, a jovial guy who likes to share stories and promote his all you can eat sushi night, daily seafood specials, and theme nights. Chile Rojo also has a TV and dubs itself a sports bar, too, so if there's not live music or belly dancing going on, there may be a game on the TV. Happy hour is 6pm-10pm nightly.
