- Restaurante Chino Sun Sea the first real Chinese restaurant we've seen in Puerto Viejo. On the main road just south of the Old Harbor Supermercado, Sun Sea has a long list of standard Chinese dishes, plus a section for specials of the day, like grilled chicken in ginger sauce and pork chops. They also serve tea, cocoa, and coffee, so it makes a fine place to grab an inexpensive lunch while waiting out a rainstorm...and they deliver around town, too. The dish we tried, fried rice with all the ingredients, was no particularly tasty, but was prepared fresh and actually quite filling, so we may be back for more.
