Somewhat off the beaten path but on the main road, Tasty Waves is a tempting respite for hungry, and thirsty folks on a budget. The American owners are happy to be "living the dream" in Costa Rica, and enjoy hosting whoever comes through their open "doors"- those who find Tasty Waves often come away with more than a belly-full of food, these guys make friends, too. Find Tasty Waves a few minutes south of Puerto Viejo, attached to Cabinas el Tesoro, across from Cocles Beach. If you've walked the jungle path from town you'll find a little sign pointing the way to Tasty Waves from the woods.
