• The Ateneo of Punto Fijo is the only popular place for cultural and folklore development in the city, it was founded by Mrs. Nhur Jatem, one of the belovedest ladies in the region, in its former structure in the Arismendi Street. Today it is located in Comercio Street, and takes its name from one of the most prominent leaders, Professor, Ruben Ismael Padilla who passed away recently. the old structure is still on duty as former ateneo and is used for teaching dancing and performance drills.
