A good place to find out about native birds.

  • Description:

    • The park is a great place to take your kids and learn all about native New Zealand birds including the kiwi. There is a replica Maori hunting village where you can learn about the conditions they faced when out looking for pounamu (greenstone). The Native Trail is set in eight acres of bush and is an easy walk round to view the various types of local flora. there is also a live show twice a day at 11.00 and 3.00. Approximate opening times are 9-5 in the winter and a little longer in the summer.
