Description:

  • Small and cozy, this new restaurant serves up a varied menu of Latin American dishes, with their origins ranging from Oaxaca, Mexico, to Buenos Aires. The main dining room is dimly lit, with dark, wash-painted walls, an L-shaped bar, and a fireplace in one corner. The mole is sweet and spicy, with hints of banana, almonds, and chocolate, and it comes served over pork. The Brazilian moqueca is a thick and creamy seafood stew in a coconut-milk base. The walls often feature rotating art exhibits, and a separate, less-cozy upstairs dining room is often used to host poetry readings, tango shows, or small concerts.
