Description:
Since 1967, this little piece of Italy has been the authentic restaurant of choice for locals and businesspeople. An interior of dark-wood beams greets diners as they walk through the nondescript doors, and an open kitchen separates the two dining areas. The wood-fired pizza oven and charcoal grill lend an aroma that makes you want to start eating right then and there. A fairly broad menu of Italian classics includes a recommended Sicilian tomato, basil, and mozzarella salad appetizer, followed by main dishes such as cannelloni bolognaise and tagliatelle carbonara. More than 20 pizza choices are offered -- the recommended Mamma Speciale is topped with ham, anchovies, capers, mushrooms, oregano, and mozzarella. For those who like authentic gelati, more than 40 flavors are available courtesy of the family's ice-cream parlor, La Dolce Vita, located next door.

Pretty decent

We had the hawaienne pizza and some pasta. The pasta was cooked more than al dente, but the flavor was nice. The pizza was tasty but not mind-blowing.
