Description:

  • This is a wonderful suburban wilderness reserve in which to explore a variety of natural habitats. Wildlife abounds with coyotes, deer, fox, and bobcats, and a wide variety of birds, such as hawks, owls and vultures to see. Once out of the riparian habitat, this inland area can reach extreme temperatures in summer, and no water is available so be sure to pack liquids. Off the trails, poison ivy abounds, so keep children and leashed dogs on designated trails. Guided nature walks are often offered on weekends at 9am; the walks are free of charge.
