In a coconut grove beside Titikaveka beach, this little resort was completely rebuilt recently by sisters Dorice Reid and Joyce Peyroux, who have owned it since 1985. Now guests enter a central building opening to an infinity-edge swimming pool, near which the open-air Little Polynesian Cafe serves very good food. Only four of their original garden units remain, and they've been spiffed up (they have kitchens). Facing the beach are 10 identical bungalows, each with raised sleeping areas behind their lounges and porches. Every unit has an outdoor shower and whirlpool tub. Hardwood floors and hand-carved closet doors lend warmth to the white interiors of the beach bungalows, so designed to direct your eyes to the colorful lagoon.
