This excellent modern hotel is located south of Boa Viagem in Piedade, the adjacent beach neighborhood. All 180 rooms have an ocean view and a private balcony. To seriously splurge, book on of the duplex suites with private swimming pool and sauna. In the low season (Sept to mid-Dec and Mar-June) these can be had for as little as R$335 (US$167/£90). The hotel is right on the beach and offers excellent services such as chairs, umbrellas, towels, and refreshments. Families traveling with children will also appreciate the fabulous swimming pool and sun deck, with ocean view, of course!

This hotel should be one star or two maximum. It needs to be renovated urgently. The towels were so thin at points you could see through them. Ample use of cold energy saving lighhts...
