GourMelt uses local ingredients in their melts.
The GourMelt truck travels around Reno serving up sandwich melts, sweet melts, soups, fries and salads. It is known for using Twitter to announce their next stop and for the colorful, yellow truck. For around $7-$8 you can get a UltiMelt with cheddar, fontina and cream cheese on sourdough, a Jive Turkey with Brie, sliced turkey, basil and orange-cranberry sauce on sourdough or the Bumble Brie with sliced green apples, ham, honey and melted brie on cinnamon apple bread. Their sweet melts are the Simply Sinful with Nutella, peanut butter, marshmallow fluff and banana on wheat bread for $5 and The King with peanut butter, bananas and bacon grilled together on white bread. It was Elvis Presley's favorite sandwich.
You can make your own melts with various breads, cheeses and meats and pick up a side like Tomato Soup, Parmesan Garlic Fries, Sweet Potato Fries or Pasta Salad. The GourMelt truck uses local farm fresh eggs and bread from local bakeries
