Great Basin Book Festival

• Book-lovers can gather in this delightful park on the banks of the Truckee River and browse to their heart's content. This huge gathering, held in September, includes many local and national writers who will be glad to autograph their works. There are also ongoing lectures, discussion groups and workshops during the weekend festival. All reading genres are represented and children will find this event as enjoyable as the adults. Admission is free, but bring money to buy books. Some booksellers may take credit cards.
