- Snorralaug. Snorralaug is one of the oldest remaines from Icelands early history. The pool is first mentioned in scripts from 1178-1241. The pooll used to be connected directly to the farmhouse by a tunnel which was found as late as 1931. Partly these have been restored. The pool gets it´s natural warm water from a hot spring close by named "Skrifla" keeping the pool warm all year round. You will find "Snorralaug" in Reykholt, Borgarfirði up from Borganes town on the west coast.
