Riga International Airport is located about 10 km south-west of Riga, on the way to Jurmala–Latvia's popular sea resort. The airport serves European countries as well as some of the post-Soviet countries.

By Car: It takes 20 minutes to travel from the airport to the city centre. It is possible to cross the country from the west to the east in seven hours by car.

By Bus: Bus 22 drives from the airport to the Central Railway Station. It takes about 30-40 minutes using the public transport.

By Taxi: Riga Taxi (http://www.rigataxi.lv/) Red taxi cabs work at the airport 24 hours a day ready to provide good service and fast transportation. The length is 15 minutes.

Getting Around

By Rail: The Central Railway station is located in 3 Gogoļa iela (+371 723 3314 / http://www.ldz.lv). The system includes routs to all major towns of the country as well as the neighboring countries. Riga-Berlin route running through Warsaw and Vilnius connects Latvia with Western Europe. It takes approximately 40 minutes to get to Jurmala, the popular sea resort of Latvia, by train. By Bus: Buses, trolleybuses and trams provide service within the city. Riga Bus Station (+371 900 0009 / http://www.autoosta.lv) is located in 1 Prāgas iela. It is open from 5am-midnight and includes international routes. Other bus transfer companies also offer their service there, for example EuroLines (http://www.eurolines.lv/ +371 7214080) and Nordeka (+371 727 4444 / http://ecolines.lv )
