• If to think about just one street in Riga you should walk from one end to another - this is Alberta street in unofficial city center or we locals call it "quiet" center of Riga. Alberta street is quite short but it is famous for its art nuveau architecture. If you have more time and want to extend your walk then at the one end is Strelnieku iela where are some good cafes and restaurants (like Sienna and Provence). At the other end is Antonijas street also having good selection of cafes (all cappucino), restaurants (botanic, lidojosa varde) and one of the best wine studios in Riga - Vina studija. All these streets have beautiful art nuveau architecture, the district has local appeal and that is Riga I love.
