Description:

• The downtown district of Lapa prides itself on its bohemian ethos, and new bar Funil is pulling out all the stops to out-boho the competition. As well as being a great place to hear live samba, the relaxed bar hosts regular poetry readings, hosts poetry and art exhibitions and book launches, and welcomes up and coming reggae artists to audition for future live appearances. Wednesday evenings see a hip young crowd converge to hear DJs spin everything from hip hop to soul, and the Saturday afternoon Feijoada invites hungry revelers to feast on meat and bean stew as they absorb the samba sounds.
