This cosy little cinema in boho Santa Teresa has just 60 seats, but it's the place to come to see art-house films and low budget releases as well as top national films. The cinema has been named the country's biggest exhibor of Brazilian films for three years running, and Cine Santa prides itself on showing interesting and thought-provoking films rather than the latest mega-budget blockbusters.Note that foreign films (including those in English) will usually be shown in the original language, with Portuguese subtitles. Children's films, however, are usually dubbed into Portuguese.
