The bulk of Rio's plush bars and clubs are concentrated in the well-heeled neighborhoods of Ipanema, Leblon and Barra da Tijuca, although Pergula, the chic poolside bar-restaurant at Copacabana Palace, is well worth a visit too.
In fact, some of Rio's most luxurious bars can be found within the city's five-star hotels - Londra at Fasano Rio and Bar D'Hotel at Marina All Suites being two good cases in point.
