The vast, sprawling Parque Nacional de Tijuca occupies such a huge scale that hotels near Tijuca Park can be found across the city.
While the main entrance to the park itself is tucked away off the beaten track, there are concentrations of good hotels to be found not far away, in Leblon and Ipanema.
Here you will find some of the most luxurious hotels in the city, including our number one pick, the Marina All Suites, whose Leblon location is a little closer to the the Tijuca Park than excellent Ipanema options such as Fasano Rio.
There are some reasonably-priced family friendly hotels in the area too, such as Praia Ipanema, while budget travelers can take their pick from several good hostels.
