Located in a less than beautifull area of north zone of Rio de Janeiro, restaurants near Maracana Stadium tend to be more along the lines of simple snack bars than sophisticated formal dining.
There are some good restaurants within a couple of miles of Maracana, however, with the standout being Restaurante Quinta da Boa Vista, housed in a gorgeous colonial mansion.
Other restaurants near Maracana are located in Centro, which is easily reached by Metro from the stadium's own station.
