• Opened as Rio's first B&B in 1999, this is a very pleasant place to stay in Botafogo, the middle-class neighborhood situated right underneath the arms of the Christ statue. Close to beaches and the city centre, it's a great alternative to the tourist traps. Off-the-beaten-path and custom-built tours are available for guests, as well as walks and hikes around Rio and the surrounding areas with official guides who are licensed by the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism. Airport pickup is available. Payment is cash only, no credit cards are accepted except for room deposits.
