- Vila Carioca Hostel is a remodeled 1938 mansion in a cozy villa with private security guards. The hostel is one block from the subway and located in Botafogo - a lively residential area with bars, restaurants, museums, and two shopping malls. The hostel is also centrally located to the beaches of Ipanema and Copacabana, downtown Rio, Corocovado (Cristo Redentor), and Sugar Loaf. There's always the best atmosphere: fun and peace of mind in balance. Travelers can play with the little monkeys that jump around in the trees, relax in the barbecue and bar area (with a small garden for sunbathing), or chill out by the hostel's home theatre.
