• Vila CasaNova is a mall and cozy guest house in the quite athmosphere of Santa Teresa, a historic neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro. Diferently from a hotel, hostel or even a "pousada", we are a family home that offers Bed and Breakfast amenities in just a few rooms. Our house is a huge four-floor modernist but rustic eighties building where bricks and concrete contrast with the green gardens, the pool and a wide view. The guest rooms are in a tranquil ambient, they have ceiling fan and air conditioning and some of them have a balcony overlooking the valley with the village houses and the city center. We conveniently close to the city center and Lapa neighborhood where you can find a cool bohemian nightlife and at a walking distance from the local commerce with its shops, restaurants and cafes. Copacabana and Ipanema beaches as well as the Corcovado (with the Christ statue), the Sugar Loaf, the Maracanã football stadium and the Sambódromo (where the great carnival parade takes place) are also easy to reach from here. We also don't work with credit cards or travellers checks.
