    • Barra da Tijuca is one of the nicest neighborhood of Rio, a new place where the high middle class and the so called NEW RICH chose to live, so the place is full of interesting people and different people as well, it is in the West side of the city and it has a long and beautiful beach which is deared by many CARIOCAS! The most football players live there, it works more or less these well off places where these basketball pleyers and rap singers in US buy big houses or penthouses, and the place becomes fashionable. Anyway, but it is for sure a great place to meet your friends at the pleasant main district avenue called OLEGARIO MARCIEL. It is a sort of a little city centre, actually it is more of a charming village that reminds me Buzios! Anyway, after a tourism conference I met my friends who came to visit Rio, they are from Maranhão, and I took also Rafael for this meeting. I recommend you to go there because it is a great night meeting point with locals, and you can have delicious fruit juices and wonderful sandwishes. My friends Michelle, Nanda and Rafael were there with me.
