- Bip Bip, a tiny bar tucked away in a Copacabana backstreet, has long been a favorite among local musicians. You might even spot a few famous faces joining in the impromptu jam sessions. No matter how impressive the music is, do not show appreciation by clapping, as the owner frowns on this. Sunday night is samba night, when dancers will spill out on the street. On Mondays and Tuesdays they have live choro– Brazilian folk music. This is a relaxed, informal place popular with locals of all ages. Dress down and aim to arrive around 8p. -Lucy Bryson
