Cafecito - Rio de Janeiro
  • Cuisines: Latin American
  • NileGuide Expert tip:

On a balmy afternoon, try the frozen cappuccino, made with ice cream. If there's a cold front, go for a Submarine - this hot drink, popular in Argentina, sees a whole chocolate bar dunked into a mug of milk, where it melts to form a rich hot chocolate

  • Description:

    • Cafecito scores points for its fantastic location on a leafy balcony overlooking one of Santa Teresa's liveliest streets. But while the setting attracts customers, it's the drinks that make it worth coming back. The cappuccinos (R$6) are easily the best in Santa Teresa, and among the best in Rio. There's a decent range of sandwiches and salads, while imported beers and cocktails may interest those looking for something stronger than a cappucino.
