• You can really eat well in Rio de Janeiro, lots of great options can be found in Ipanema. Everywhere you go you will see all different kind of restaurants, bars and caffés. One of my favourites is GULA GULA, informal ambience, great people and incredible food. The portions are very generous and for sure you will have lots of fun, it is great for a romantic dinner as well. GULA GULA in my opinion is one of the food references in Rio de Janeiro.
