The fantastically-shaped peaks of this mountain range, located around 90 minutes' drive from Rio itself, are capped by the 'dedo do Deus' (finger of God) which points heavenwards and can be seen from hundreds of miles around.This national park is a top destination for climbers and hikers, and there are some real challenges to be found here. The nearest town is Teresopolis, but many visitors take tents and camping gear for a real 'back to nature' experience.
