What comes closest is 'até logo', 'até mais', 'até breve'.

The answer that comes to mind is " Até já" or " Até breve" . However all of these small sentences depend on what comes before.

It´s easier to buy a phrase book in Portuguese. (Brazilian)

It depends on what kind of english you want to use: if it's slang you can say " até mais" or more formal you can say " até logo" or "te vejo depois". Cheers!!

Real cariocas say "tchau", like "ciao" in Italian.
