Hi, it is often best to see the Christ statue in the early morning, as clouds (and crowds!) often arrive later on. It is not always clear and sunny in Rio, so if you wake up and see blue skies I would recommend heading to Corcovada as early as possible. You will get amazing views and beat the worst of the crowds if you go early. Don't forget your camera!

I would say late afternoon, to watch the sunset! It's gorgeous!

It's up to you... Depends on if you prefer the sun set or the sun rising... (:

The earliier you get there the better. The sunset is beautiful , but the crowds and the clouds often spoil this option. So, if I were you, I´d get there as early as you can and perhaps spend as much time up there as you want. Plan on eating up there and take care of your belongings especially your camera.
Have a marvelous time!

The Christ opens at 9:00 am, try to be there exactly on this time and take the van if you have any way to be there by car...it is interesting going this way because you see a big part of the forest!
