Description:
- This is an important event for Muslims. Hajj is the pilgrimage that all Muslims are expected to undertake once in a lifetime. Children, women, ill patients and those with inadequate finances are exempted from undertaking Al Hajj. This event takes place between the eight and thirteenth day of the Dhu'l-Hijjah, the last month of the year. It commemorates the pilgrimage of Prophet Muhammad to the Kaaba, the prayer house build by the prophet Ibrahim. The doors of the structure are closed to the public and Muslims are expected to pray in its direction. During this festival, millions of pilgrims pass through the towns of Saudi Arabia making this festival impossible to miss.
