Restaurants near Ad Dir'iyah, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

  • Well, if you're a woman just trying to get a bite to eat in Saudi Arabia…you've come to the wrong country. Besides the burka requirement, women can't go anywhere in Saudi unless a man approves it or goes with them, so, socially the dining world of Saudi Arabia is very restrictive and often odd. Of course, if you do make it out to the world of wild Saudi restaurants, you can get all those mouth-watering middle-eastern specialties that make your stomach grumble upon mere mention of Kabasa or Falafel. Food carts on the street and malls are also another popular way to feed your hungry. Malls are especially big on eating because of their vast swaths of air-conditioned corridors that are a haven for the most heat-stricken Saudis.
