  • With over 3,000 years of history right in front of your eyes, Rome can almost be overwhelming. Lucky for you, it is the ideal pedestrian city as most of its famous sites are within walking distance from each other. Start with the main attractions (i.e. the "must sees" like the Sistine Chapel, Roman Forum and Colosseum) and then walk around these areas. No matter what , you will always stumble across another historic church, monument or beautiful piazza. The best advice is to get lost since there is quite as picturesque and pleasurable as meandering streets of Rome.
