Description:
Because the place is somewhat hidden (although it's only 2 blocks from the Villa Borghese, near Piazza Ungheria), you're likely to rub elbows with more Romans here than tourists. "The Log" features an open wood-stoked fireplace on which the chef roasts lamb chops, liver, and bacon to perfection. Other intriguing items include fusilli pasta with bacon and artichokes; and a breaded, grilled fish of the day. A true delight is the tender beef filet with black truffles. To warm your soul, order the white chocolate and peach terrine with a fresh mint sauce.

Had dinner here while visiting Rome based on a tip from our travel agent. We stayed near the Colisseum and this was about a 20 minute cab ride at the most. Very nice restaurant...
