• An award-winning building by Zaha Hadid, the MAXXI is Rome's newest museum and is home to 21st century art and architecture. A maze of metal and cement waves pulsing through the galleries. The collection represents acclaimed Italian and international artists from the 1960s to the present. The site houses an auditorium, library and media library specialized in art and architecture, bookshop, cafeteria, bar/restaurant and galleries for temporary exhibition, performances and educational activities. The museum hosts live events in its courtyard.
