Pretty relaxed as far as night clubs go. Great dance floor and outdoor patio.

  • Description:

    • Tucked on the western end of downtown is Salt Lake's first and oldest running music venue of its type, Club Sound. Quite a large space, and entirely dedicated to music, this has capacity for big crowds, making it a popular location for fairly major events, such as after parties for the Summer Outdoor Retailer Show. With space for the 18+ and 21+ crowds, Club Sound typically allows anyone of voting age inside, but strictly confines drinking to certain areas within the building. During the summer months, an outdoor, second-level patio opens with its own bar to give you some fresh air and a break from the dance floor. This space is simple and rather industrial. Because of this, and the type of acts it hosts, it typically attracts the 20- and 30-something hipster/ indie crowd. You certainly won't enjoy much casual conversation here, but if you like to dance and dress down, you'll have a lot of fun bumping and grinding.
