Pretty relaxed as far as night clubs go. Great dance floor and outdoor patio.
Salt Lake City, UT, United States
Tucked on the western end of downtown is Salt Lake's first and oldest running music venue of its type, Club Sound. Quite a large space, and entirely dedicated to music, this has capacity for big crowds, making it a popular location for fairly major events, such as after parties for the Summer Outdoor Retailer Show. With space for the 18+ and 21+ crowds, Club Sound typically allows anyone of voting age inside, but strictly confines drinking to certain areas within the building. During the summer months, an outdoor, second-level patio opens with its own bar to give you some fresh air and a break from the dance floor. This space is simple and rather industrial. Because of this, and the type of acts it hosts, it typically attracts the 20- and 30-something hipster/ indie crowd. You certainly won't enjoy much casual conversation here, but if you like to dance and dress down, you'll have a lot of fun bumping and grinding.
