"When visiting Salt Lake, I would recommend a hotel that is on a TRAX line, the local light rail, which can whisk you to and from the Salt Lake City International Airport in 20 minutes for $2.50 each way. If you're going ultra luxury, The Grand America Hotel. Is Salt Lake's only Five Diamond hotel property, although its sister property across the street, The Little America Hotel Salt Lake City is quite nice as well. Another Trippy member recommended the Pet Friendly Hotel Monaco and I would definitely agree with their recommend - the in-hotel restaurant, Bambara has never disappointed my taste buds. Those looking to save a few dollars, may look at some of the business traveller hotels, such as the Hyatt Place or Courtyard Marriott Downtown. For a charming boutique hotel, I have heard good things about the   Peery Hotel, although have not seen their rooms since their change of ownership a few years ago. Next door to Salt Lake City's biggest attraction, Temple Square, is the Salt Lake City Marriott Downtown which also sits at the doorstep of the City Creek Center, Salt Lake's premier mall."  See More
